Winery Weekend

Recently my parents visited and we spent the weekend touring the city and visiting wineries in the country. I had the chance to sketch the inner workings of a bustling winery and the muted colors of the country landscape. A few of those sketches are included below.

I enjoy drawing landscapes, especially in the countryside of California where the rows of vineyards and orchards add such variety and the hills turn a hazy purple in the setting sun.

Loved how the work gloves, shovels and rakes within the winery were dyed from working with the grapes. Guess the color of the day was purple!
